Krabi Day 2 - Kayaking at Bor Thor Aonang

This was not my first choice of activity. I had booked a private tour for island hoping but alas because of the change date, it was fully booked. :(

I refused to let go of my deposit, so in the end we had to choose kayaking at Bor Thor. Sounds boring right? Not so fast, it was magnificent experience for us!

We woke up to this beautiful view of the cliff..

Jacuzzi anyone? :)

Well, the first night went well. *ehem*
So, today we are quite excited to experience Krabi.. *whoop whoop*
We woke up quite early around 6.30am local time, got ready and went straight for breakfast.
Our driver will be waiting at the lobby of the hotel by 8.30am.

Well, this is a none halal hotel.
But you could of course, pick and choose what you would want to eat for breakfast.
The egg station has no meat, so I think it is quite safe to have something made there.
So, I had some french toast, muffin, omelette, fried mushrooms and fruits.
Quite fulfilling though.

We finished our breakfast around 8am and decided to walk around the hotel area..
It is so convenient, you have Starbucks, Mc Donald's, 7 Eleven, Gym, Cafe all in front of the hotel..

So, our drive began.
I had also insisted for a private tour which means private transportation.
We had a tour guide, a driver and a whole van all to ourselves. *freak* hahaha!
How much does this all cost. I don't actually recall. I think for 4500bht the whole day? Or something like that. This would include elephant ride, kayaking, tour guide, lunch and transportation.
Nice right?

The view was super nice.
Something I really look forward of doing again in Krabi.
But it all depends on the person. If you like adventure / nature most probably you will love this activity.

We've got to see Monkeys, monitor lizards, colorful mini crabs, and those walk on land fish.. hahaha!
Imagine kayaking through the mangroves with a well spoken english guide and just the two of us..
Worth going.. Definitely..

This piece of rock does look like a mermaid right..
So eerie looking, almost look alive..

See the small red crabs on the mud..
Well, there are many more.. blue ones, orange.. I personally thought that it looks like candy. :)

Then, the guide took us to another cave where we had to climb down the kayak.
This cave is quite special as it has some drawings of ancient cavemen.
It is called the Big Headed Ghost Cave.
*I hope there is no extra special 'being' here*

This drawing looks like a man with a feathery hat.. *nice fashion sense*
Even from those days.. :p

A two headed dragon? Can you see them?

The cave was so serene and beautiful.
Look at the amazing sculptures behind me.
It was massive!

The guide also told us not to touch any of the rocks for fear that it will stop growing.
The proper growth is when the rocks are able to join together for the top and the bottom.

Alright guys.. that's the end of our kayaking and cave adventures..
Wait for my continuation almost death experience riding an elephant *no I do not exaggerate this*
